What else can be said. I let 'em break in for 45 minutes or so then cranked them full tilt with everything from The Blues Brothers to Michael Jackson and i must say that I am INCREDIBLY impressed with these speakers!! Absolutely phenomenal sound for the $80 i spent on a Lightning deal from amazon.

Upon opening the packaging I found that the satellites are significantly bigger than i expected. I realize the measurements are in the description, but somehow i was still envisioning them to be about the size of a small soup can. They are indeed about the size of jar of pickles and incredibly sturdy feeling though actually lighter than i expected. The "subwoofer" is about the size of a large shoe box. (Sorry, ran out of food sized analogies) and seems well crafted as well.

As others have mentioned the 3D mode sounds absolutely god awful and i would recommend not even turning it on... EVER. The satellites produce great mids and highs and the Subwoofer, while its not shaking the house off its foundation, it produces very clean bass. For a 6.5" woofer it's doing a fine job though i could see upping to an 8" and giving it a bit more power would not be unwise for Antec in the future. I do wish there were more audio controls as there are virtually none. A 1-2-3 selection for more bass from the subwoofer is all we are allowed; but to be fair it has been set up very well by Antec. Set the sub on 3 and enjoy.

I did watch a little 3:10 to Yuma on Blu Ray with the Rockus hooked up to my PS3 via the optical input to see how it would perform with movie content. I feel it performed incredibly admirably for being a 2.1 setup. Gun shots are powerful, speech is a bit overwhelming but not to the point of annoyance. Overall a million times better than any built in TV speakers and i would assume better than 80% of the "sound bar" options available.. certainly for the money.

In conclusion: For $80 I would buy this all day long. For $125 I would still be happy with my purchase. Once you hit $150 to $175 I am sure there may be better options... but i'm done looking and I hope I get a chance to catch another set for such a great price! Thanks Antec!

no no no!!! bought it in N.Y, flew to costa rica and opened it there. in the second time i used it, in the middle of a movie, it suddenly stopped working. couldn't send it in time to amazon for replacement(cost and time limit)and to repair it cost me 65$, and the sound got damaged. shame. i'm disappointed.

I searched high and low for a respectable 2.1 system. Search no more! This thing rocks. I own high end home theater components and this is an amazingly comparable setup for a computer, iphone/pod or bedroom. Very nice looking and awesome sound quality. At 150 watts it's often too loud! Crisp highs and low low lows.
I would even recommend this for a bedroom flat screen system as its compact size and excellent quality for the price is unmatched.ENJOY I am!
